DOCUMENTARY: Group Feedback with Zoe & Improvements

We had our first discussion as a group with Zoe on the 13th and this was really helpful, as we have the idea and it was good to hear what a professional like Zoe thought of it. The first things she brought up were:
- Why do a documentary on a LGBT football tam now? Why now?
- Their experiences why they started playing
- Teenage character as main person, i.e. theme of 'teen spirit'
- What is new? Why not? - a couple of sentences at the top to sum up pitch

We all agreed with these points and started thinking about how to answer them.

Zoe said that we still need a story for the LGBT team, which we already knew about, we were still working on it. Some examples she gave us were:
- Someone going to practice for the first time
- Someones experiences of coming out

The information we find can be about gay footballers in FA. We need to get a profile on the chosen character/s by Monday.

How are we going to tell the story was another question she asked and we weren't sure at the time but we now all have agreed on a voice over to prevent the loss of focus on the characters. 

Improvements
After having the discussion with Zoe we sorted all the questions above and any insecurities we had about the idea.

We have decided to do the documentary about LGBT players because it is still seen as wrong to be a gay footballer. There are no famous players from top teams who have come out and we want to find out why and put the voice out there that it is OK to be who you want to be. 

We are all on the hunt for a gay teenagers because we feel the story will flow better if the character is gay and is interested in starting at the football club. 

Our story is to follow our main character throughout their experiences of playing for the team for the first time, we also want to here about their experiences in the past and to talk about any abuse they have had thrown at them. Whilst were into their story, we will talk to our other characters, Jason and James, and to hear their experiences.
