STORYTELLING: Rehabilitated Love

As part of a story-telling workshop we had to pick out names of a hat, one name was a location and the other two names were our characters. With this we had to plan and briefly write a 10 minute story. I found this workshop actually quite useful, we had an hour and a half to plan a decent story and my group and I were rather pleased with what we came up with.

Protagonist JAMES plans a romantic date for wife SARAH, as he has noticed her recent mood change. The date is at an abandoned church where they first married. SARAH arrives and due to her great sense of guilt she confesses to JAMES about her cheating and serial dating over the past four years and that she is now pregnant with another mans child. JAMES leaves heartbroken and SARAH chases him. they both have a heated argument therefore JAMES moves to a friends house for a few days for some thinking time. After two days he receives a message informing him SARAH is in hospital with pregnancy troubles. He turns up by her side and SARAH realises what she's got and apologises for all wrong she's ever done to him and promises not to cheat anymore. JAMES agrees to stick by her and care for the baby.

Goal - To work out why SARAH has been weird

Change - SARAH promises to stop cheating
