STORYTELLING: 25 Word Pitch

Befriending The Enemy

Pitch: 'Man enters police station to help detective with a murder to be eliminated from their enquires, however, unbeknown to her the man is the killer.'

Genre - Drama

JOSEPH MANSFIELD
is a tall, dark man who is 30 years old. He keeps himself to himself, not a lot of people know about his life. The only family he has is his mum who lives in Sheffield while he recently moved to London. No one has found out about Josephs' dark secret.

MIRANDA ATTKINSON
is a brown-haired woman in her early 20's. She works at the local police station as a detective and she has a husband called Paul and two children, Lucy and Jack. Miranda is very good at her job and she always follows up a case and catches the culprit.

Location - The main location is in the police station where the two characters meet. The pair go to another location, the house where the most recent murder was committed, and Joseph does make an appearance next to the house on the grass above the beach.

The inspiration - I got this idea of the murderer and the detective from a series called 'The Fall' my mum was watching. I found the series very interesting in the parts I watched and I thought the plot was clever. I imagine it would also be a bit of a challenge to film something like this but I am willing to push myself and to give it a go.

The rest of the story - It starts with the meeting of my two characters, the viewer does not find out about Joseph just yet, to start with he seems a sweet man who is simply trying to help with the case. Until, he re-visits the crime scene to get rid of evidence, however, the investigators and detective turn up and interrupts Joseph hunting round the room. As he leaves, he remembers he left his phone in the room and has to plan a mission to get back into the house. Can he get to his phone before the investigators find it and discover that he is the murderer?
