Throughout the story-telling unit, I have been researching screenwriting techniques to help myself create the best script I possibly can. I followed up on Steve Coombes' screenwriting lessons and looked at many websites to find out what a screenwriter actually does, what exactly is a script and what makes a good story, so I could get into the mindset of an actual writer.
While actually
writing my script I mainly researched how to format the script and what to put where, for example, what bits should be capitalised and what bits shouldn't.
Researching this I found out that it's only the scene heading, sound effects and characters that are put in capitals.
Another thing I learnt was that when we first introduce the character, their name is written in capitals, however, the other times their name is mentioned when it's not followed by their dialogue then it is in lower case. Some of the websites I used to research these are below:
